Yin Xiao translates roughly to “Hidden Roar.” Edvard Munch’s The Scream influences the shape of the final “O” character in the English transliteration of Yin Xiao

After the full name icon arose the need for a condensed icon resulting in a hybrid “Y” & “X” variation

With the completion of icons came the need for brand colors and accompanying typography

Color was based in an historic painting of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty (1082-1135 CE)
